I think in common with many Year of Projects bloggers, my YoP list is being sidetracked by the realities of Christmas. The Vanilla Latte socks are still tucked away awaiting a bit of frogging. They’re still technically finished, right, even if just for the first time? Thanks to all your helpful comments last week I’m ready to start the Vorticity socks, but probably won’t until we’re past the busiest part of Christmas. The Student Bank Account scarf is coming along slowly and steadily, thanks again for the comments last week. I think there’s about 5inches worth of 290stitch stocking stitch rows left to go, but that will work up fairly swiftly on 5.5mm needles. My Line Break shawl is proving very useful, despite its reduced dimensions. I think I may be a shawl person after all and have cautiously queued another three, just to make sure.
On a self-indulgent non-YOP diversion, Red Peg the Disco Pirate doll is finished, wrapped and ready to go under the tree tomorrow night. Pics are in this post linked above as once again I have Small Girl wrapped around me as I write. I also finished the Adorable Kids Fingerless Gloves though I have a sneaking feeling they won’t fit the recipient for long, the Rico worked up quite petite.
The post title this week is from Small Girl, after asking what I’d like Santa to bring me for Christmas. I do hope she’s wrong, I sent a very specific list and I’m sure the elves are up to a bit of squishy wrapping. Have a lovely Christmas and a peaceful healthy New Year, see you here next week I hope.
